"Dusting sulfur," elemental sulfur in powdered form, is a common fungicide for grapes, strawberry, many vegetables and several other crops. It has a good efficacy against a wide range of powdery mildew diseases as well as black spot, and controls insects such as thrips and mites. It is also used in pyrotech applications and is a main ingrediant in black powder. Rate of application: 4 tablespoons per gallon for a spray, or cover plant surfaces as a dust.
