Treat venous leg ulcers and other foot conditions with the Smith & Nephew Profore multi-layer bandage system. This set of bandages can provide a treatment for one week instead of several treatments per week, as the 4 layer compression bandage system works as a seven-day procedure. It provides 40 mm at the ankle and decreases pressure to 17 mm at the knee, with more decreased pressure at the calf. With effective pressure, layer 1 consists of a tan, self-adherent bandage which is the sterile wound covering layering to absorb blood and exudates. Layer 2 consists of a light compression bandage, layer 3 is the light conforming bandage that provides the leg and foot with flexibility and comfort. Layer 4 is the padding bandage that applies pressure to any swollen area. Measurements for the self-adherent bandages are 5 1/2 x 8 in, 4 in x 4 yds, 4 in x 3 yds and 4 in x 2 4/5 yds. The set has approximately 3 years of shelf life.
