An attached wedge prevents the foot from turning from side to side, keeping it in a neutral position and protecting nerves. Made with rip-stop nylon, the blue and gray Sage Prevalon heel protector boot is durable while also giving the patient freedom of movement by sliding smoothly and easily across bed linens. It also works in conjunction with sequential compression devices such as massaging boots (available separately). A contracture strap holds the ankle still to ensure that it remains flexible.
