Was so hopeful but ended up disappointed

The good: the fabric is thick, classic denim so limited stretch and more structure. Expect it would hold up well over time. The bad: the inseam is not 26”. I am 5'8” and they looked almost like capris on me. I knew the expected 26” would definitely be cropped, but the pair I got measured just under 25” so the length did not look good at all. Being a plus fit, I was hoping for better curve-hugging but still found the infuriating gap at the back of the waist. Didn't do anything flattering for my butt. So disappointing because the fabric and color is great. Tried a 16w and 18w because measurements and reviews indicated either might work best.
