BROTHER SM2700 Mechanical Sewing Machine with 27 Built-in Stitches

This was the lowest priced sewing machine I could find with a full range of functions to adjust stitch length and width. Tension adjustment worked fine and machine sounds solid when sewing. Needle position selection is a bit different from what I am used to on Singer machines. Apparently you have to check to make sure needle does not hit the presser foot on some stitches and then make adjustments. Have only used it once to hem several sets of curtains. It worked fine. It needed a little help using the hand wheel on some of the thickest seams but that happens on almost every machine unless you are willing to spend much more money!

I bought it for my granddaughter it is very easy to set up very easy to set decorative stiching has 27 different stiches. I am very pleased with the value and mechanics of the machine
