This is the quietest fan I have never heard. Honestly sometimes it seems like it isn't running . They replaced the motor fan assembly with plastic to keep it from rusting out like the Broan I replaced. Good fan.

Works well, is reasonably quiet and the light is dimmable, although this is not stated in the information posted on-line with the unit. The installation instructions are very poor, and the wire attachments for mounting the plastic cover on the last step are a terrible design that should be corrected.

Having issues with the noise

I was hoping to find out if there was an issue with the unit I have professionally installed. The specifications say it should be at .8 sones which should be around 56 decibels. When I measured the decibels level of the fan it is reading at 66 decibels. Could there be something wrong with the unit?
