Love it or hate it, usually both simultaneously

As far as the seller and condition, the disc is in great shape and I even managed to get an original box, and not the red greatest hits label. Also, the price was right, I wouldn't recommend anybody to pay any more than $10ish for this game though. As far as the game itself, its a serious mixed bag. Sometimes you love it, sometimes you hate it. Its best enjoyed in short bursts of gameplay, the longer your play session is, the more and more tedious it can become. PROS: Excellent Set Pieces Characters Graphics Music CONS: Linear Experience/Little Exploration Tedious Battle System Confusing Weapon/Accessory Upgrade System Areas Drawn out WAAAAAAAY Too Long Battle Rewards Very Limited Its difficult to do a review of this game and hit all the points, but for me, its an enjoyable game just as long as you don't play it more than an hour or two at one point. Luckily, the game gives you plenty of save points along the way. The battling becomes quite tedious the longer you play, and the rewards gained from battling is very limited, just to Crystogen Points for character upgrades, but even that feels very contrived because selection of abilities is super limited and mostly you just gain small increments of HP, Strength, or Magic, with an ability here or there, but no branching character development paths, even with varying roles. No Gil is rewarded for battles, but occasionally you can tediously grind soldiers for credit chips and incentive chips for weapons upgrade shopping. Exploration is nearly non-existent, with mostly peaking around corners and looking behind you to find hidden treasure balls. The main reason to play this game is to enjoy the story, but the sequels 13-2 and Lightning Returns are vastly superior in virtually every way, except for the graphics, but that's a fair trade off for a more engaging game.
