Value for money: It is worth it for children overall; however, the quality is durable enough for children, and is economically fine. I am a grown man who wears them with Hoka boots. There is a metal lace guidance on my boots that does wear out the laces and I think the Fed. Gov't adds additional wear and tear on my laces at the point of the metal lace guidances but when both, a person has regular shoes without these metal lace guidance and without special gov't attention, you should be fine. The only thing is the color is its not the florescent but it is the color of glow in the dark, bright green. During the day you will see just the color. Maybe 10-30 min into the night the Paracord will give off a semi- glow. The appearance is just fine for low income, I do not know of any other similar Paracord comparisons to determine the level of florescence of this item v. others but that's a future endeavor.
