Product details
Double joist hangers are designed to connect joists to headers in a variety of framing applications. Double 2x8 hangers will hole 2 2x8 or 10 inch lumber. Use all specified fasteners. Joist nails must be driven at a 30 degree to 45 degree angle through the joist or truss into the header to achieve listed loads. Standard length double shear nails must be used to achieve listed load values. 16d sinkers 9 gauge x 314 may be used where 10d commons are specified with no load reduction. Codes: ESR-1881, FL9835, FL570, FL821, Dade County, FL 07-0419.01, Dade County, FL 07-0214.20 & Dade County, FL 06-0921.05 Fastener schedule: header - 6 16d nails, joist - 4 16d nails. Allowable loads lbs. DF-L/SP: Floor 100% - 1290, Roof 115% - 1485, Roof 125% - 1615, Uplift 160% - 1355. Code ref.: 6, F5, F15, D7.
