Be weary of sites listing Maxxis Trepador 8060's and then sending a different Maxxis Trepador (a radial, not bias) This review is for the BIAS tire shown here. Note: It took 4 shipments, and a total of 11 tires arrived at my home before I had 5 matching tires. I was receiving a mix of the the Bias, and radial tire each time.
On to the review: They are SERIOUSLY great off-road. I got them before getting beadlocks and have managed to not loose a bead all the way down to 8 PSI. Running a 37x12.5x17 on a 9" wide wheel. If you just go off-road, this is the tire for you. Interco Boggers are the only thing better if mud is your thing, but rocks/mix of everything else, these are the best i've ever used.
Negatives: I'll be lucky to get 8K miles out of the set. Luckily given my usage, that's about 5 years of driving for me, but that, and the discomfort they have on-road, prohibits me from taking any big long out of state trips to visit other off-road parks unfortunately.
They're loud, of course, they are basically scary on wet pavement, let-alone snow/ice.
Be prepared for any shop (large national 4x4 shop included) to tell you that they are unable to even get close to balancing these. If you want them for their iconic sidewall-look, and the aggressive lugs that extend to the sidewall that is basically unique to this tire, but you don't primarily off-road, you'll be very disappointed.
Rating based on what they're intended for..... OFF ROAD.
