The images and words invite all ages to explore and embrace the fullness and care of God! This book invite children and adults to celebrate the pieces of God that speak into our everyday lives; the joyful, the hard and the tangible. We are not alone and God is with us! This book will be my go to gift!! Matthew Paul Turner has done it again and shared the life giving words of Rachel Held Evans once more.

Stunning, imaginative, perfect for young readers

This book is beautiful. I am a mom of two young children and I am an early childhood educator. I have used Matthew Paul Turner's books before in my classes, and this book is definitely going to be used in my future curriculum. The imagery is gorgeous. The descriptions of God are inclusive, child-friendly, AND adult-friendly. I could see the questions my young children have asked me about God as I read this book. The statements about what God is like are rooted in Scripture as well as what I have wondered about in my own imagination. The imagery by illustrator Ying Hui Tan beautifully capture the essence and wonder we all have about what God is really like. I could see the inquisitive nature of Rachel Held Evans and the beautiful, poetic style of Matthew Paul Turner as I read this book. I can tell this will be one my children ask for at bedtime on a regular basis! It will be a great gift as well!

The world needs this book so much. What is God like? God is like the echo of one friends voice in anothers words, beautifully revealing Godself on every page. God tells us what God is like through Rachel Held Evans and Matthew Paul Turner, and we see God more clearly in their gorgeous collaboration. Every word carries the beauty and gravitas of the Scriptures from which it is drawn and the delight of the divine it conveys. It's for every child of God, and it will especially move those who need to hear God's voice resonate in a new way.
