Bluetooth Hands-Free Calling and Audio Streaming
Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). Easilypair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the AVH-200EX without having to go throughcomplicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is in close proximityto the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.
From hands-free calling, wireless audio streaming (A2DP) with artist, album, andsong search, simple pairing, and control audio (AVRCP), Bluetooth® wirelesstechnology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient. The AVH-200EX withBluetooth also includes better call quality reception using the new WidebandSpeech Handsfree Profile 1.6. Nearly doubling the bandwidth of the frequencyhelps bring call quality similar to FM reception.
Android Music Support
Users of Android devices running operating system 4.0 or later can connect andlisten to music stored on their device to the AVH-200EX without the need for anapp. The process is made possible using Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). MTPallows the receiver to recognize the Android smartphone as a music storagedevice.
