defective watch band

The Seiko wrist watch itself looks fine and is just as I expected it would be. The watch band was only connected to the watch on one end, however, and so far I have been unable to re-atttach it myself. The Seiko box the watch came included a loose spring pin and a loose connecting link. Since it extremely difficult to mate them together without watchmaker tools, however, I can't use the watch as it was delivered to me.
