When we are born, we know what healthy dieting looks like for our bodies.
But when we grow up, and an influential mind develops within us. Gradually, our eating becomes "the mind diet."
All sorts of authorities and improper influencers appear in our lives that offer us a "diet compass", and we lose ourselves in search of diets that work. The subconscious mind quickly absorbs the habits of our environment, and we forget about our uniqueness.
I will share with you scientific research about how much the environment affects us. We will see why we can't trust external authorities and why our mind lies to us.
I often see books and practices on how to stop thoughts, how to change your mind, and rewire your mind. You can meditate and do breathing exercises, but there is something important - you can't stop your thoughts forever. You can't stop your unquiet mind. We are in the mind-gut connection from birth to death.
However, everything is not lost. What you can do is to observe your thoughts and stop the tricks of the mind. It is the first step to mind consciousness.
The second step is to identify your emotions and to release your emotions.
It doesn't mean managing emotions. When you are controlling your emotions, then you have repressed emotions. It is the reason for the appearance of blockage in your body. We shouldn't run away from the so-called "bad emotions." We were born to live different and mixed emotions.
Feelings are essential for your diet. Our digestion, whether we are losing or gaining weight, are healthy or looking good, are affected by the emotions we experience when eating. I will tell you how to understand emotions in your body.
People often confuse the words "mind and emotions." Many of them consider emotions as a terrible enemy of a healthy diet. On the contrary, the mind is given the role of a fair and reasonable judge.
Our food is not limited to WHAT we eat. No less important is HOW we eat, WHEN we eat, and WHERE we eat.
Some of us get sweet emotions when eating alone, while others like noisy places.
We will talk about emotional healing in detail in this book.
Remember - we are what we eat. Therefore, mindful eating is very significant.
