Very Happy with this Faucet
This looks great, super easy installation, and spiced up the entire kitchen. The pause button doesn't make sense to me either, but guess what - I'm not going to use it! I'd buy this again in a heartbeat - I'm an avg handyman, but it took longer to get the old one out than to install this one - and it's usually the opposite!
Moen has a World Hit with this faucet
I was a plumber for 15 years and have installed or repaired many brands of pull out and pull down faucets. All of them had some problem with installation and/or ease of use. I'm retired now and hated the thought of having to replace our old kitchen faucet. The cartridge was leaking internally and cross feeding between H + C, the leakage destroyed two spray heads, and part of the drain back caused the under sink mounting assembly to corrode, break, and leave the whole faucet flopping around on the sink. I have all Moen fixtures in our house so I looked on line for one that might have have either lifetime stainless or chrome finish. This particular one came in both finishes, but only the chrome was available so I ordered it and the supplier said I would get it the next day. It actually got delivered the next day and the directions made no mention of any sealants needed as long as I followed the directions. The supply lines were plenty long, the weight for the retractable head has steel bars for the hose weight instead plastic, all the gaskets or seals are rubber o-rings instead of plastic, there are no restrictions for the head hose travel in either direction and the water passages seem to be larger as the spray pressure, even at 1.5 gph, is noticeably higher. Very Nice - Why anyone would complain amazes me
This is a very nice, elegant, quality fixture that was not only easy to install but appears to be a quite durable faucet. There will always be those who find anything to complain about. And to those who give those unfavorable reviews I say they are helpless individuals who forget how fortunate they are to be able to own such a nice fixture. Stop nit picking about stupid things like how the splash from the spray gets things wet that you don't want wet. Or how it does not retract like a spring loaded extension cord. It retracts well, nestles well, does not fall back out, does what it is supposed to do and looks terrific. What else does one expect? If more, then I suggest you re-evaluate how lucky and blessed you really are.
