I was beginning to think a stunning solid turquoise or teal colored sofa slipcover (that didn't look like it belonged in Granny's house), which was also machine washable, was too much to ask for...until I saw this. I'll admit I thought it would be made of flannel, given the name, but the word "flannel" refers to the collection. The material is made of polyester but feels like a softer, more pliable version of a canvas slipcover. It was washed before we applied it to the sofa, so I can vouch for the color-fastness. As intense as the color is, it did not bleed. All slipcovers are prone to needing daily tuck-ins and smoothing-out, and this one is no exception. I plan to buy some of those slipcover clips to help hold fast the material where it is supposed to be.
