Vornado AVH2 Advanced Whole Room Heater with Automatic Climate Control, Timer, Fan Only Option, Black

This Vornado heater seems to be a rare example of a high quality product. It heats well, runs quiet and the thermostat works great. I think the thermostat is the heaters best feature. It does not just click on an off depending on the temperature. When it doesn't have to work hard to maintain temperature, it runs slower and quieter. I am very sensitive to motor or fan noises, so this is the feature that makes me love this heater. I first used this model (Vornado AVH2) heater about 7 years ago and loved it. That one was borrowed and I had to give it back. I think I got my own heater a year later. And just a few weeks ago I bought another one. The old one is still working I just need two of them. As far as I can tell all three of them were identical. I think that means it's well designed and they don't need to keep messing with the design. I think I paid about $70 for the first one that I bought. I paid $100 for the most recent one. Still a good deal for a well made product. There is a more expensive model apparently with some timer functions. I don't need or want the timer functions so I didn't go that route.

Simple to operate. Quiet. Many safety features. Two heat settings with continuous one speed fan. Very versatile. Saves power. Economical. No oscillation or remote control, thank God.
