Works pretty well, needs revision before mounting

In the end, it works, and pretty well. It was inexpensive enough that I didn't try to recondition my old one. (This is recommended by some, no parts needed, search the 'net.) The fit of the new part was terrible - it required modifying the mount holes by removing plastic with a rat-tail file. Not too much work, but unexpected. I would buy again in the same situation.
