I purchased this to replace an older version the light starter went out in . the old one still worked but the bulb would not turn on due to the starter even after replacing the bulb so I got this one . I kept the replacement bulb I got in case this one goes out but I don't think it will happen like the last as this one has that dusk till dawn sensor built it that will turn it off when the sun comes up so that's one of the selling points that made me get this one . it works great and I'll be getting 2 or 3 more of different brands to test out to see which one last the longest. due to the price and features of this one it's at a 5 stars for now

Go with a solar or long chord instead.

It gets the bugs better than most but not as great as some of the other competitors. Ive definitely bought quite a few different zappers each claiming to zap. And some of them truly do suck. This will zap quite a few for sure What makes them fall short in which I would not recommend is the fact that whoever made this thing did not think the plug and set up through at all. For these things to work properly and zap they have to be up high or in a good position to do their zap thing. The chord on this thing cant be more than 2 feet long!! So in order for it to work efficiently it needs a long extension chord and the poor quality size dimensions of the hook to hang it makes it a challenging setup. Once you get past all that, it does its job. But hard to make that aesthetically appeasing with a long extension chord trying to plug the thing outside is aggravating.
