I was impressed how the tires handled in icy snow. Central NY had not-so-fun storms in the morning and evening yesterday, and I had to drive through both. Considering the tires are brand new, I was pleased that they performed as they should. I"ll revisit in a few years and give an opinion then, after some wear.

Super Pleased

We just got them installed yesterday, but the ride on our Honda Oddyssey is noticeably smoother and easier. We're looking forward to trying them out once the snow really hits.

I got these Ice Edges for my mom's car

I got these for my mom's 2000 Buick LeSabre. Her all-seasons couldn't get out of the driveway even with a little snow. They were bad in winter, even with a heavy car. With the Sumitomos, it was completely the opposite. She said her car doesn't even hesitate getting out of the driveway, even with ice on it, and this year was bad with ice. She also said she feels a lot more confident when driving on winter roads. I asked her if they were noisy. She said she could hear the difference, but nothing annoying. Also, before I had the tires mounted, I got them studded. I also have these tires on my Toyota Yaris, but unstudded. I wasn't sure how well they'd do, because it's only a little over 2300 lbs, but the car is a unit in snow. There has been a few times I've pushed snow with the front bumper to the point it almost stalled. It's only 1.5L 106hp stick shift. But the tires wouldn't lose grip in dry snow. Slushy snow isn't quite as much traction in my driveway, bc it's basically icy mud, but I never got stuck with them. I would recommend getting studded if you're in an area that gets glare ice. My next set I'll get studded.
