A hilarious adrenaline rush!

Our family cannot recommend this game enough. Our 7 year old loses attention quickly if we are playing a game that takes other players long periods of time to make decisions during their turn. The great part about this game is that each player is actively engaged waiting for the chickens to be set loose and the games are really quick. We played 4 games in 20 minutes. Out of the box: You will have individually sealed chickens (21), (4) coupes where the chickens will set, 1 die and stickers to place on the fox and die. I would recommend a storage container or a zip lock baggie to store the chickens, coupes and die together. Game play: Catch the fox allows up to four players. In the game, you take turns rolling a die to see how many chickens you have to remove from your coupe and place in the fox's pants. At the end of each turn, you press the fox's head down once and if the chickens remain and don't get set loose then your turn ends. The fun part about this game is that you never know when the chickens will come flying out of the greedy fox's pants. The pants are stored under the fox's feet. The chickens are small pieces and could potentially be a choking hazard, so I would recommend to children ages 4+. To make things fair in our family we play by letting adults grab the chickens with their left hand and the kids can use both hands. The first person to fill their coupe wins. As you can see from the pictures my son had a blast. We had hours of fun racing to grab the chickens.

Silly Fun

This game is very easy to play, perfect for little ones between 2 to 5 years. There is not a lot of board game options for the smaller children, and this game really had our 3 year old laughing. The placement of the decals on the fox and dice are on the last page of the instructions. I thought the instructions would show this under game set up, but it shows under "tip" on the last page. The instructions are easy to read, and follow. The object of the game is to be the first person to fill your coops with 5 chickens. Roll the dice, and put the number of chickens shown on the dice in the pocket of the fox. Continue until the fox's pants drop, and grab as many chickens as you can to fill your coop. Each player can only grab 1 chicken at a time for their coop. The game continues until one player fills their coop. We were wondering when the Fox's pants were going to drop, and when they did, it was hilarious. Each time after you put the chickens in the fox's pocket, the player pushes the fox's head down. When the pants drop, the chickens really fly off the table as they descend from the pockets. The pants disappear back into the fox. We were thinking the pants flew off the fox, then realized they just slid back into the fox. We were all laughing, and scrambling to get the chickens. We ended up playing this game several times just because it was really silly fun. The fox is super cute. I have attached a couple of pictures with and without pants. He is very well constructed too. If you are looking for easy, silly, fun for all ages, Catch the Fox is your game.

Cute for 4-8 age range

I chose this game to try because I thought it might be a cute game for my 6 year old son. I was very pleased with it. It helps with counting, patience, learning to take turns, and has an excitement to it because you never know when it's going to pop. It's rather simple which makes it very easy to play with small children. In the bottom of the fox there's a pair if pants, pull them out, pull them up his waist, put his arms up and then roll the die. The options are only 1 and 2 so that's how many chickens you pick up and put into the pockets of his pants, after that you push down his head and the next person takes their turn. Once the fox drops his pants the chickens go flying and the players can only use one hand to pick up as many chickens as they can. Whoever gets 5 chickens in their own first wins, play another round until someone gets 5. So overall the concept is very easy to get, the kids get excited at the prospect of not knowing when the chickens are going to go flying, and it makes for a very simple but fun game. The only thing I don't like, is that the chickens come with little red plastic inserts that have to click in, and if you lose one then your chicken isn't complete.
