PENN Carnage® III Inshore Casting Rod, 1-Piece, 7', Extra Fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Penn Carnage III casting rod to try out for my honest review. This was my first time trying out a Penn fishing rod. First off I was pretty impressed by the look and feel of the rod. It's a sleek black 7 ft. one piece. The handle grip is something I had never seen before, it's a Hypalon/Rubber shrink tube that has a really good feel to it. The grip is really good, better than old school foam in my opinion. There is definitely no slip at all on that grip! The rod itself is really strong and lightweight yet sensitive which makes it really fun. You can feel all the movement and action. The eyelets provide a smooth and tangle free glide, I didn't have any problems with my line getting caught up. It is very durable and highly crafted. I hope to eventually pair it with a Penn reel. I normally fish for trout, bass and panfish (which I have caught many on this rod!) but this would definitely be great for inshore fishing which I hope to try out in the future! This has been my new go to rod. That being said I am pretty impressed and would recommend it for all types of fishing :)
