It is definitely escape proof which is great. However, the lease clip should be redesigned. The lease release button snagged on the area of the clip where it is held on by the fabric. I was shocked when the lease became unattached. Fortunately, my pup did not know it was "free" and I was able to grab her before she ran off. I was able to duplicate the failure and discovered how it happened. I installed a "safety clip" so this situation will never happen again. I would recommend that a "safety clip" be provided with the harness.
