Design flaw-- too narrow

These boots are insanely narrow. I can't even get them on my feet. Normally, I wear a size 5.5, and I sized up to a 6. And the worst part is that I managed to get them on when I first bought them, and now, two months later, I cannot even with the assistance of a shoe horn. And I can't return them because it is outside of the window, so to a landfill they will go since I don't want to risk someone else getting ripped off.
