Very smooth

Very smooth gear box and it's very light weight. I was expecting something heavy but its not heavy at all. It's very well built and sturdy. Goes great with the shorty Ididit steering column. Using this in my 1930 Ford Sedan 4 door with a 351W and c4 transmission. Also using the rack and pinion for cross steering.

Tremendous customizing aid.

I used the Steer clear on a 1951 ford Cab Over Engine, that is on a Chevrolet chassis. The original builder had the column in like a T-bucket. No foot room bad joints and lots of binding. With an Ididit Shorty column and the Steer Clear everything fits great. There is no binding, steering is smooth and precise with absolutely no play. Everyone who has seen it agrees it is fantastic.

Gave room for my brake system and header clearance.

Used product to help clear my exhaust, and braking system, allowed for a straighter steering column, also allowed for a cleaner looking final product.
