As long as the paper is not otherwise stretched, it retains excellent water impermeability. We cut them into strips and use as produce tags, held in place by rubber bands. The bands stretch the paper a bit, which lets some of the water into the fibers, which weakens the paper a bit. So perhaps the sealant could perhaps be better infused(?) into the paper for a more durable seal? Regardless, this is an excellent product and we plan to purchase more next year!
