This little shelf's clean design and finishes make it a lovely piece for keeping my countertop organized and uncluttered. I looked at other clunky looking or poorly designed alternatives online but this one was the clear winner. Easy to assemble and well made. No plastic parts, yay.

I like Yamazaki products so much that I often look for ways to use them rather than just looking for a product that meets a specific need. This one did both. For a while I had been bothered by the inefficient use of space on my kitchen countertop. Then I thought of these and they turned out to work perfectly. I placed one on the part of my counter that holds my transfer compost bin. I always have a container of tomatoes on the counter and they were taking up a lot of space. Then I realized I could put the container under the bin by using a Stackable Countertop Shelf. The nice aspect of these shelves, aside from the functionality, is that this version has a beautiful wooden top. I have standard Yamazaki risers in my cupboards, but these two are in plain view and I wanted them to look a little more elegant, which these do. As an aside, you can see a Yamazaki drying rack on the left. The other Stackable Countertop Shelf is placed next to the microwave oven where I keep the plastic heading lids. Again, these lids take up a lot of space and the use of this shelf solved three problems--gaining room above the lids and being small enough to fit into a crowded space, but being spacious enough to hold several large mugs that I otherwise had no good place to store. As with the other riser, the wooden top on this one makes it ideal for a countertop shelf.
