Just installed the 4 camera setup this weekend and the quality of the video I get is excellent. However, the kit came with CAT5 cables to power the cameras packaged in an oval shape and wrapped very tightly. Data cable should be wrapped loosely and in as close to a circle as possible to avoid kinks and wire failure. I also ran short on my two front cameras, 60' may work if your connection is being made in the center of the home which may not always be the case. I had to extend two lines to reach the DVR, and the two cameras closest to the DVR had entirely too much data cable. Ideally the system should have 2 (100') cables added to the kit, or keystone connectors to extend the lines. Also my DVR was not detected by the TV I tried using to set up due to the DVR was programmed to a lower resolution from factory making it undetected by my TV. I had to try a monitor with a VGA cable, and eventually a monitor with an HDMI cable to get picture to start setup and configure it to display on my HD TV. Minor details to an otherwise excellent quality security system. Love being able to see my whole house from my phone as I travel frequently.
