They are smaller and more contoured than the 3x size. Long in length. Still kind of bulky. So here is what i do. I fold the top part down about 4" and hold it down with some medical transporant tape. The kind that is clear and easy to tear. Then I use a long bladder pad, and peel the paper off and stick it with the wide side up at the top of the brief. It fits the inside of the brief just right. Next thing is the bottom of the brief where the blue strips are. i open the sides and cut away the tabs and blue strips so now i have the two thin blue strips and i secure the bottom part of the bladder pad to the brief. I found that the top wider part of the bladder pad seems to hold more liquid than the smaller end does. When you are ready to use just fit into place and pull the back part tightly and tuck under your back side. This seems to work fairly well for side sleepers.
