Nostalgic candy from the 50s

My Mother used to fill the candy bowl with these at Christmas back in the 50s and 60s. She would buy them from Dayton's and also Donaldson's Department store candy counter in Downtown Minneapolis, MN. The only downside is there isn't as much chocolate in the center anymore. To me that's what made this candy so popular.
