20" Ind Grade Oscillating High Velocity Fan - Chrome Grill

I received Model F-4208, Optiumus, oscillating Fan. I bought this fan for my dogs, so I call this the 3-Dog Fan. ** The off and on box is on the top, but it is a different design than pictured in this photo. The stand for the fan was very easy to put together, but you must look at the photo on the box, to get the parts in the right order, as there is no diagram and nothing in the "instructions." You may need to trim the rubber pieces a little bit (I removed 1/4"), in order to get enough bolt exposed upon to place the nylon nuts (remember the nylon goes away from the frame). I am giving the fan 4 stars, as I have just received it and put it to work, and it smells a little hot (but it is brand new, so this may go away). Keep in mind, that this fan is manufactured in China. It is very common for these fans to require some oiling of the bearings, as they do not seem to come well oiled. That is easy to do, and there are Youtube videos to assist you in taking apart the motor to access the front and back bearings, should you need to do so. I had a smaller Optimus fan in the past that was very good for quite a few years. I hope to get the same longevity from this fan. Just as a safety factor, never leave a fan running if you leave the house. Turn it off.
