My daughter needed camp shoes so I bought her a pair of these last year. I loved that they kept her from tripping(like she does with flipflops) and protected her feet from wood chips. I think they are meant to be worn without socks so they do get stinky fast. The good thing is that they can be washed. Yes, washed AND they come out of the washer looking the same! They held up to a whole summer of abuse and because they run a big large, she was able to wear them past that. This year's pair is a lovely pink and seems to be holding up just the same. i PURCHASED THE SILVER AND ORANGE ONES FOR MY 9 YEAR OLD AND THEY ARE PERFECT! He wore them all summer (not every day but a lot ) and they still look nice. He is rough on shoes too! They look good with socks too. He played in the creek and went to water parks with them. Also I received several compliments and moms wanting to know where I got them.
