This Slip Uno Adapter Converts your Standard Lampshade to fit on Slip Uno Lamp Base. Did you ever have trouble finding an UNO fitter shade. This is common because most replacement shades have standard "spider" fitters (aka "washer" fitters). Will this fit your lamp. Our Uno opening is 1 7/16" which is the most common size, so be sure to measure your bulb socket to make sure the diameter is less than 1 7/16". Slip Uno adapters are made to fit directly over a plastic lamp socket found on lamps usually purchased at many popular retail stores. Uno fitter shades are difficult to find, so this adapter lets you use standard washer fitter shades on your uno lamp base. This adapter attaches directly to the harp, allowing use of nearly any replacement lamp shade. Harp is 7" tall and the height from the bottom Uno ring to the top plate is 7", so this fitter works best with shades that are about 10" tall. Polished brass finish.
- EASY INSTALLATION - Converts your Standard "Spider-Fitter" Lampshade to fit on Slip Uno Lamp Base Lamp. Easy DIY upgrade project.
- MEASURE YOUR SOCKET - Uno opening is 1 7/16" which is the most common size, so be sure to measure your bulb socket to make sure the diameter is less than 1 7/16". Kit is designed for lamps with a plastic ring to hold the shade. See pictures to to confirm this adapter will work for you.
- FINISH - Polished brass finish
- USE FOR - Works best with spider-fitter lamp shades that are about 10" tall. A slip uno harp is generally 3" shorter than the lampshade, provided the shade "drop" is 1 inch. (drop is the distance from the top of the shade to the center washer.

Old is new again!
Well made and easy to install. I should have come in here first looking for this lamp “harp”. I found an old crystal and gold lamp and it didn't have the shade holder. I went to 3 stores and nothing. Plus I didn't know what it was called till I went to a mom and pop hardware store. They had one. But it wasn't gold. So before giving up I came here. It's almost perfect. Just a little looser than i would have liked but it's because it's an old lamp. But it works great! And looks beautiful.
