I put these seats in my bass boat. The seats that were already it were high back. I hated them. I couldn't lean back, and they took up too much space in the driver seat. These clamshell seats are amazing. The backs come up just under my shoulder blades, so I can lean back in them. The seats are extremely comfortable. I put them on a low profile slide, so I can adjust forward or back to dial in leg room comfort. I like them so much that I bought more as pedastal seats for the decks. These seats are the most comfortable I've ever sat down on in any boat. They also fold down. When fishing, the cockpits seats folded down really open up space on the boat. For the price, I hit the jackpot with these seats. Another thing…I removed the seat cushions, then flipped them over and rotated 180 degrees. Replaced the cushions into the removable vinyl covers. It created more support where it counts slightly more forward in the seat bottoms. 5 stars on these seats. I have zero back pain when I sit in them. I've needed back surgery for over a decade now, and these seats allow me to drive and fish without any discomfort.
