Built tough

I started with the two columns replacement on my carport and used a combination of SJ-6 and BH-6. I did not realize that the actual size of the inserts accept 5.5" square while the expensive redwood 6x6x8 was actually 5 3/4" x 5 /3/4" x 8 and I had to use variety of carpenters tools to get rid of the extra 1/4" in order to fit into the inserts. Once that was done the columns stand out very nicely and there are three more columns that I am ordering the same materials for each one. The customer service reps were very nice and order arrived fast. I am very happy with the product and am planning to use turnbuckes in between columns to make them even stronger laterally. Only in USA something is called 6x6 but it actually varies from 5.5"x5.5" to 5.75" x 5.75" but aparantly never 6' X 6'. That's why when we kicked the British out we should have switched to Metric system like the rest of the world.

Great Product

Very simple to use. Had to raise a roof and the screw jack was enough to lift the structure. Helped make for a profitable job!

Awesome piece of metal

Very well made, haven’t had a chance to let the frozen ice try to move them around yet, but have faith they will work.
