I bought this grill pan for my daughter as a Christmas present. I have owned one for about two years and I absolutely love it. So much so I pretty much leave it on my stove. I do everything from grilled sandwiches to salmon (can achieve an excellent seared skin). I even cook bacon in it - as the fat renders off it goes into the grooves and is easy to drain. The bacon is crisp and not soaking in it's own oil as it cooks. My daughter has seen me cook in it and she put it on her holiday wish list. I know she will enjoy just as I do

I've used non-stick cookware before but nothing compares to this cookware. I can actually cook without any kind of fat if I want, unless I use it for flavor. Easy cleanup is a big plus. I haven't put anything in the dishwasher since it is so easy to clean with a dish towel in hot soapy water. I'm so glad I found this set to replace my 15-year-old hard anodized Calphalon set. (After so long some pieces were showing pitting and the bottoms had warped.)

The concerns I had were all proven OK ! I thought a grill pan had to be square - nope! The 12" round is generous for 4 pieces chops/breasts (that's all I've cooked). I thought the grill grid looked like too many tiny lines - nope! The grill lines are the perfect spacing and size. One might label this product a "uni-task-er". It is a limited cooking tool, but it is so important that food looks appealing. And I did place the pork chops in this pan in the oven for well-done. It's also very thin in my 12" Calphalon stack!
