Not a bad bicycle but don't expect useful company

Nice looking bicycle but keep the packaging. In spring of 2021 our town's lone bicycle shop had just one (new or used) bicycle to sell and it was not a good fit for my wife. We decided to order this Micargi beach cruiser. It arrived intact and was easy to assemble. Lots of packaging material. As a budget bicycle, many parts of it appear cheap but look nice. The Shimano shifters are okay but the brakes feel weak. The big issue with our bike was that the chain loudly scraped against the rear metal fender when the rear cassette was in gear one (the largest). The fender seemed defective so I thought a replacement fender would be an easy fix. Called the company's California office and people were polite. I was asked to send a video of the problem and the eventual response was there was nothing they could do because their factory/manufacturer produced fenders that were too wide so they had no replacements available. The rep suggested cutting into the fender to make room for the chain... Our local Wal-Mart store would take the bicycle back if it was disassembled and back in the box. By this time most of the packing material had been hauled off in the trash or recycling. With patience and multiple pliers, I bent back a small section of the fender so the chain wouldn't scrape it. The finish cracked, so it will rust out pretty quickly. But, importantly, the wife now has an easy-to-ride* bicycle and gets compliments on its appearance. *To me, the steering feels overly light but the ride is fairly comfy.
