It provides added security to your home by securing your door to its jamb and includes a tamper-resistant shutter guard to deter unwanted entry by intruders. Constructed of diecast metal with a satin nickel finish, this single cylinder deadbolt is strong, made of high-quality materials and durable, giving you peace of mind that your home will remain protected. This single cylinder deadlock is a surface-mounted, cross-bolt locking device which can be mounted to 1-3/8 to 2-3/8 thick, wood or metal doors on the inside or outside of left- or right-hinged doors. The lock kit includes an angled strike, a rim cylinder, two keys keyed differently, but also available keyed alike, a cylinder trim ring, fasteners, a mounting plate, easy-to-install instructions and a tamper-resistant shutter guard. This lock requires a 1-1/4 hole and uses Segal keyway. Installation tip: Snap-off or cut-off end sections of tailpiece as needed, if it is too long for your door. Having the tailpiece too long can negatively affect the performance of the lock. Use pliers to snap-off, a hacksaw or small disk to cut-off, and a file to remove sharp edges and burrs.
