WINIX is very quiet, sleek design. Doesn't take up a lot of room. When it's running a blue light runs. When a red light comes on it showing you that there is something in the air that is not healthy. I'm not sure what that would be but the WINIX alerts you . In my case I had a water leak and walls and ceilings are open leading to the attic. So it's possible particles are coming in. That is the reason I bought the WINIX and it's working well.

This is a beautiful machine. Fan is perfectly balanced and quiet. Can be set up to turn of lights on the control panel at night so you can have it right next to your bed. The night feature also slows the fan to silent. Comes with an extra set of filters.

I bought this because its filters are the same size as my 2 other winix devices (5300-2 %26 5500-2), the 115115 A filter. White blends well with our furnitures at home. I placed one unit on every floor. It really reduced the amount of dust particles circulating in the air we breathe. I keep them running 24/7 in auto mode. When there's nobody home I turn the plasma wave on to zap out germs and pollutants in the air. Filtered air is definitely cleaner air.
