for the first few days you're gonna want this little guy running when you're home incase it chokes and dies from lint hair or dust probably from under a bed or dresser and it'll probably get lost while it's exploring the house for the first few days as well and run out of battery trying to find its way to charging station it did for me. and finally at the end of the first week give the filters on the roomba and charging station a quick clean then it'll finally be ready to work on its own with a monthly checkup as advertised
