Pennington Durana White Clover Seed, 2lb

There seemed to be a lot of filler material in with the seeds. Not full listed seed weight in the bag. Seeds came up quick after planting in less than ideal soil. Would use again.

When I read the other reviews I was on the fence about purchasing this "clover seed" because there was a lot of hit and miss on whether it grows. But how can you beat 2 lb of clover seed at about $8? So I went ahead and crossed my fingers purchasing 4 bags. Does it grow or not? I planted the first bag, and albeit sparse, I had germination within 3 days (photo with the shrub) I planted the second bag and had zero germination in more than seven days. I replanted more than twice to get some growth (photo with drain) It looks like it's a hit or miss with each bag. It doesn't help that the majority of what's in the bag is inert material. This seed is being marketed as 2 lb of clover seed. This is inaccurate and should be changed. It's actually 2 lb of crushed shells mixed with a little bit of clover seed. therefore you're paying a lot more for this 2lb bag of nothing than you would for a small envelope of equal amount of Clover seeds without the addition of 2lbs of crumbs. But they've been getting away with it for years! Have you ever purchased the 2lb bag of wildflower seeds... ? same bag of crumbs with sparse amount of seeds. Better business bureau anyone?
