First ride went well
I just installed these wheels and tires and took my Rubicon for a 30 mile ride. I'm happy about the performance but the ride was rough because the tire calls for 14lbs “operating pressure” on the sidewall when the Honda calls for just 4.4lbs operating pressure. I ran that first ride at 14lbs on all 4 but I am going to reduce to 9lbs all the way around for my next ride - hoping to soften ride and increase traction that much more. SUNF support told me that these tires need 7lbs minimum so 9lbs should give me a 2lb safety margin. Traction was fantastic despite max inflation. There was no noticeable loss of power. After 30 miles, there were still some new tire nipples remaining on the top of the tread - which amazed me. I went with 26x9-12 / 26x11-12 tires but I think my next set will be 26x8-12 / 26x10-12 which would be factory width but still adding an inch to factory height.
