Did not work consistently

Chime only worked sometimes so it was not worth keeping. Unreliable and feels a bit too cheaply made. Fyi, requires two double a batteries and a 9 v battery, not included.

Works as advertised

Hello, This is my second paw set. The first pair was used by 3 basset hounds continually for a year and a half. However, I believe the paw pad switch has accumulated dirt and only periodically rings. This simple tool keeps my doggies from scratching on the door (and you know when they want out too). It works as advertised - and bassets are hard to teach anything. They learned how to use the paw in 2 days. I will attempt to clean/fix the old set as a backup (or just as a decoy at another door to keep them from scratching. If you dog can figure it out, it works.

Dog and I both love it

Easy to teach my dog to use this when wanting to go out or come in. She is very polite and does not bark or scratch the door, so it is nice to have a way for her to signal. I have two of the sender units, for the inside and outside of the door. Teaching tips: Put the sender unit near an outside door. When you are ready to let the dog out, first put its paw on the sender so it chimes/barks. Say good dog and immediately open the door. Do this for a few days. Then cue the dog by tapping near the sender to get the dog to paw it. Once the chime/bark sounds say good dog and immediately open the door.
