Husband installed the lock with no problem and i programed the fingerprints, again no problem. Husband had some trouble holding is thumb to get the reading but that was not due to the lock, that was all husband. It has a one touch lock that you can use any fingers. Grandkids don't like it because they can't get access to the fridge with the good snacks lol. i went to order more locks to replace the Kwickset that were installed 8 years ago, but the sale was over. Kwickset only last 7-8 years then the electronics don't with anymore and i paid $200 for each lock.

Excellent quality, limited features Does not read your thumb prints whatsoever even after successfully scanning and recording. No door open or close sensor even though the GUI during initial setup requires it. I had to pay for it as an additional item. Other than that this is a solid lock, responsive, quality, better than the rest and definitely gives you a peace of mind without storing your data on another company network and worrying about being sold to the government or not.

Great little lock
I have this lock for more than 6 months now and it's worked a treat. I use it for my garage as its separate from the house and this means i can leave it locked all the time without having to worry about grabbing my keys every time I need to go into the garage.
