For the money paid this is a very acceptable low cut sock. Rises a little high on the instep, but good venting woven in and a nice feel on the foot. The fully synthetic blend of material doesn't give you swamp foot like cotton. I haven't worn these for running, but I think you could. The fabric covers the full instep and Achilles area of the foot to protect from abrasion from my ASICS. Also, none of that labeling right and left nonsense that is becoming common on performance sock. Good product, good price!
