Very disappointing...

I washed them before 1st use and all that 'newness' sheen and satin feel just washed completely away, and they reek of a chemical stench not to be believed. After getting out of bed the first morning my entire body smelled of this stench. I can't believe this - especially since they were so expensive! I bought Superior sheet sets 15 years ago and never had these problems; they were smooth, cool to sleep on and wore very well all these years. These new Superior sheet sets are a poor substitute - rough, too warm to sleep on, wrinkle easily, and stink like hell. I'm not usually so critical, but this purchase was really disappointing...
