Barbie Fashion Model Collection Best to a Tea Doll, Barbie Signature Doll

I was pleasantly surprised on how much I actually like this doll, especially after reading the negative reviews. I did take off 1 star due to the cheap clothing and accessories. The BFMC line is for adult collectors yet they include Velcro, unlined clothing, and shoes used for the playline dolls. The quality of her body is usual for the articulated silkstones. Her joints are tight, the seams are fairly visible, etc. Her facial screening is perfect on both of the dolls I purchased. It reminds me of the original silkstones. Her clothing has no flaws except those I listed above. I had planned to redress her, but in person she looks gorgeous as is! Overall Best to a Tea is a beautiful doll with the small detraction of having playline quality clothing.

When I saw the sketch for this doll, I was very excited. She looked pretty, chic, and smart. I didn't understand why the reviews were so polarizing, but after getting her, I can see why. The overall impression that I get from this doll is that it's incomplete. The clothes seem like they are samples and not a finished design. Her accessories are lacking and the ones that are there are not eye catching; they don't add to the outfit. I ended up taking off the gloves (more like mittens) and was pleasantly surprised to see pink fingernails to match her makeup. Her face is fresh and bright and her pink hair accessory would have been even more interesting if the pink would have carried through in the rest of the ensemble. Even some more statement jewelry would have been a nice touch. Overall, the doll is nice, but not up to the quality I've seen in other fashion dolls like this. It's a shame, because she's a really lovely Doll and she wasn't given enough attention.
