My brother, Brian, has been beekeeping in one form or another since the 90s, including working for a very large commercial beekeeping operation, but he was always frustrated with beekeeping gloves (and he’s tried most of them). He finally settled on using mechanics gloves but said, “The only frustrating thing about these gloves is that the bees can still attack the back of the hand and they just murder my thumb knuckle.” That single sentence is what initiated the search for a way to construct a glove that has the benefits of a modern mechanic-style glove with the protection and ventilation that beekeepers need. We, at Apis Tactical, finally produced beekeeping gloves that represent the culmination of a long search, a quest if you will, for a practical glove for beekeepers that they love and could rely on.
