Works well. I use it to hold my phone on my boats windshield. We live and boat on the Beaufort Inlet and its adjacent waters, including the Atlantic Ocean. Needless to say the mounts ability to hold the phone while gripping the windshield are severely tested. The only quibble I have is that the release mechanism for the phone can be a little sticky at times. Since it errs on the side of security I wont knock too hard.

Awesome mount, exceeds expectations.
Ive been searching for a phone mount for my 4Runner mainly for using Waze, I have used the CD player style but they flop around too much and mess up the dust seal. I wanted something that didnt require me taking my eyes off the road so cup holder mounts were out of the question. I didnt want a windshield mount as they obscure my view. I waded through a myriad of mounts until I stumbled on this one and read the reviews regarding the performance on boats. It was more than I wanted to spend but I have no regrets spending extra now. This thing sticks! Almost too well. I have it attached to the curved lens on my instrument cluster over the tach. Its not going anywhere, period. In fact its a real struggle to remove it. The phone clamp works great and the mount has a low profile, its not hung out on a long arm like so many others. It fits nicely in the intended location and its fairly easy to pop the phone release when I exit the vehicle. I use it with an iPhone XR in a bulky Pelican case fits without an issue. If you are looking for all the features mentioned, look no further.
