This fits like a balconette. The straps sit wide apart, so if you've narrow or sloping shoulders, this isn't for you. I have dense breasts that are 'relaxed'. This lifts and supports but does not flatten. The cups are not lined or molded and are 'deep' from nipple point to body. The underwire fits to either side of the actual breast rather than half way up under your armpit. There are plastic stays just past each underwire on the side, they're a bit long, but rarely uncomfortable. I have seen reviews that the straps are short, which suits me fine. I'm short from bra band to shoulder top, so this works for me. The only negative I have is that the texture of the lace can be seen under a smooth fabric, a cup with the satiny material from top to bottom would be nice.
